I have received the great honor of being placed in the Mississippi Elks Hall of Fame. I wish to thank my Ocean Springs Elks Lodge No. 2501 and our Mississippi State Elks Association for this great honor. I am sincerely humbled by this honor. Being a 43-year member, I have grown in awe of the good and charitable works our great Order do day in and day out in our communities. I am so thankful to have made so many friends throughout Elkdom and happy to be a minute part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. To those members who have gone beyond the Shadow that inspired me, to the members here today that motivate me, and to my precious family that support me, thank you and God be with you.
